Our Story

BSTP offers a range of Town Planning services to ensure that our clients can enjoy a stress-free development process. Our accomplished team consists of both permanent and contract-based professionals, who are qualified and experienced in the technical processes of the industry.

Founded in 2023, the company is led by Mrs Swart (Director & Founder). She studied at the University of the Free State where she obtained her degree in Architecture, followed by her Honours and Master’s in Town Planning. Thereafter she also pursued and completed a course in Project Management at the University of Cape Town.

Her career kicked off at Cape Agulhas Municipality where she was employed as a Town Planner and gained invaluable experience in the public sector. Thereafter, she joined the capable and experienced team at Andrew Pratt Town Planners which was followed by the establishment of her own company.

Accordingly, our team has experience in both the private and public sectors and we are dedicated to provide our clients with nothing but the best!

Jacolene Swart

Director and Founder

Meet Mrs Jacolene Swart, Director and Founder, with experience in both the Public and Private sectors. Being qualified in Architecture, Town Planning and Project Management, she has insight into various elements present in the daily processes of the industry. The making of vibrant, responsive and identity-specific place is her ultimate goal as she strives to deliver desirable planning solutions.

Jacolene is also a proud cat lover, bookworm and self-proclaimed foodie!

Clotilda Garatsa

Project Administrator

Meet Miss Clotilda Garatsa. Being qualified in Public Administration and having vast experience with land use processes, your project cannot be in better hands. She has proven to be excellent in her communication skills and project management.

Clotilda also enjoys reading in her free time and spending time with family.
